Thy name be damned
A downloadable game for Windows
Lore
Long ago you got in your hands the damned book of demons. You spent years studying demonology. You look for too long into darkness and it looked back at you. Now demons are coming to get your soul.
But you fear not because you know that the answer is in the damned book of demons. You know that using the name of a demon gives you power over it. So every night you browse the damned book of demons fighting time to identify the hellish creature that is coming for you.
Once you know the name of the demon, you spell it in your Ouija board to expel the demon out of this world.

Gameplay
Thy name be damned is a horror game in which:
- randomly generated demons approach you
- you browse pages of a book to identify the name of the approaching demon
- you spell the name of the demon in a Ouija board
- if the name is correct, you defeated the demon and a new one will show up to repeat the game
- if the demon reaches your desk, you are dead and the game is over
- during the game different scary events will occur to get you out of focus
Game mechanics
- move mouse to turn your head/camera around the room
- when you look at the book, the camera will zoom a little for better viewing the content
- browse the pages of the book by clicking on the left and right edges of the pages
- click and drag the Ouija's planchette through the Ouija's board to select each letter of the name of the demon
- to select each letter on the Ouija's board you position the Ouija's planchette on top of the letter you want to select and wait until it appears completely
- if you select the wrong letter, move the Ouija's planchette away of the letter before it appears completely
- if you want to start over with the spelling of the name, release the mouse button (stop dragging) and the name you were entering disappears and you can start again

This is a good concept . I apologize though . Im just not very good at this game :) I do wish it had more to it .
Thank you so much for taking the time to take a look at it, it was so nice watching someone playing the game. The main idea is that you try to recognise the demons figure, for example it has horns, small wings and thin legs and then you search in the book for that figure and spell the name in the Ouija. I see also that the controls are maybe not the most intuitive ones. You have to hold the mouse all the time that you move it through the Ouija board, releasing it will clear the name you were spelling. The letter is selected by falling into the circle of the pointer. As I mentioned, I loved that you made the video. Thanks!
Hi thank you so much for visiting my page . I thought that might be the case but it was so dark By the time I could actually see him he was so close . PLus I tend to panic a lot lol Im sorry might be a skill issue on my part :) I didnt even think to see if there is a way to turn up brightness ? Maybe in the future make different levels of difficulty .. Im glad you enjoyed my gameplay ! Thanks again and hope to see more games by you in the future !!
I enjoyed it, but it will benefit from a tutorial!
Hi, thank you very much for the comment. I am really happy to see some interaction :D I take note of it, I will try to figure out something as a tutorial. I don't remember if it is there in the demo, but in the final game I am preparing something like a how to play:
But now that you mention "tutorial" I may prepare like a video explaining which will be better I guess than a simple picture.
